Another note:
Nothing really tells us that there is NO DIFFERENCE between the two parties here better than the fact that Stan Siegel and Frank Bell who ran against each other for Councilman-at-Large in 2005 are now running together on the same ticket. When I was on the Republican ticket with Mr. Bell in '05, I can tell you there was nothing even remotely chummy ever expressed by Bell towards Siegel--instead, it was the complete opposite. Now we see them running together, and it begs the question--will the real Frank Bell please stand up--is he the guy who ran against Siegel, who had no respect for him, beleived him to be a liar or worse, or is he the guy who now stands next to him on the same platform, and the same ticket, telling the city that it should vote for him. In '05, it was all but a mortal sin to support Siegel, at least to hear Bell tell it. Now. Frank and Stan are each other's biggest fans.
Like I said, nothing better tells us there is no difference....
